Educational Trip Firozabad - Glass workshop

The little industrial town of Firozazad in Uttar Pradesh is known as a hub for the production of glass products. It is located approximately 40 kilometres from Agra.

A trip was planned for the Product Design, Batch 2016 students in the year 2018, with the goal of educating and informing on the many glass manufacturing processes used for things such as drinking glasses, jugs, bowls, and other typical glass items that we use on a daily basis. Sand and recycled glass are the two primary ingredients in the production of glassware. Products are created when red-hot glass that has been molten for a long time is passed through moulds and then carved by hand to perfection. After that, it is either chopped by hand or by machine to its final, fragile-friendly dimensions before being packed in cardboard boxes.
