Under the Subject named 'Design Project II', students are taken for the craft visit at various places where this year it was Kutch, Gujarat. Learning & knowledge about various crafts & textiles of Gujarat like Rogan art, Ajrak block printing, Bandhani & Leheriya, Leather products takes place. Students have a hands-on experience and a thorough understanding of all the crafts. The visit is as long as a week i.e. 6-7 days including travelling to-fro.
Every year students of different semesters are taken for various technical subjects like Manufacturing process, Manufacturing technologies, CAD + Grading to understand how a mass production is done. And what all machinaries are involved to make the process faster.
Under the subject named,'Sewing techniques & Embroidery', students are taken to Calico muesum and given them knowledge of detailing and hours required to develop a piece of art. They understand the history & importance of the craft - textile - embroidery and pain to develop a product.
This year's field trip to Jaipur, Rajasthan, was part of a course entitled "Design Project II," in which students learned about local handicrafts by visiting local artisans in their community. It is a place where people can come and learn about the many different types of textiles and crafts that are made in Rajasthan, such as Bagru block printing, Dabu block printing, Blue pottery, and Leather goods. Students learn by doing, gaining a deep understanding of various trades. Including arrival and departure times, the total duration of the trip could be as much as a week.

Students take a course called "History of Design," during which they visit LD museums and learn about historical clothing. They have an appreciation for the tradition and value of the cloth, needlework, and painstaking work required to create a finished product.
